Michael, Jason & Freddy…… Ranked

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

Tis the Spooky Season!

I might have a niche for horror movies…. So I am going to rank the three known killers.

Coming up in third, we have Jason.

Jason Voorhees is a classic, from Friday the 13th, but he is not too original. In the first movie, he literally has his mom do the killings for him… but the last scene IS great. I love the haunted camp setting but there were many basics with the movie. Like who goes after the loud noise in the dark??? I would stay inside, personally. But still a great horror movie, I hope everyone watched it on Friday the 13th in October this year!!!

Next is Freddy.

Freddy Krueger is a legend. I love the psychological technique with the nightmares. OH and the song is my favorite lullaby, I love singing it to my roommates! He has the most unique tactics and I feel like I would be friends with the characters. Elm Street is a must watch and I hope no one gets sleep after this one.

And in first place is Michael.

Michael Myers is an icon. Whether it’s the first movie from 1978, or the most recent from 2022, the vibes are just immaculate. The warm sense of home with trick or treating in the neighborhood, the good acting from Jamie Lee, and the authority of Michael make this horror movie my favorite. Best staple movie. If you haven’t seen it, WATCH IT NOW or else Michael will get you.

PLEASE give me more recommendations of horror movies, I just watched Totally Killer and there was a great twist at the end……

Happy Halloween Season Everyone!!!
