The Center for Women and Business at Bentley University was founded in June of 2011 with the mission of enabling women at each stage of their lives, from student to CEO and beyond, to realize their full potential and enable the global business community to successfully harness that potential. Through educational programming and initiatives for both women and men, the CWB will work to transform the attitudes of students and business leaders and influence the institutional culture of corporate and other business entities so that all can reap the economic and social benefits of inclusion and diversity.
 
The Center for Women and Business is proud to announce that we will be hosting this year’s Tufts Health Women’s Leadership Speaker event with Judge Nancy Gertner– Retired United States District Court Judge for Massachusetts and Renowned Advocate,Jurist, Lawyer, Teacher, and Author. 
 
The Center for Women and Business would like to invite the entire Bentley community to see Judge Nancy Gertner speak on October 26, 2011 from 3:30PM – 5:00PM in the Wilder Pavilion.
 
Judge Gertner is a phenomenal speaker and a true role model for all of us looking to become leaders and make a difference in our fields. Her presentation will focus on leadership, holding true to your morals and core beliefs, and the risk-taking it takes to be a leader. Please join us to hear about Judge Gertner’s path to leadership and the lessons it offers to all who want to succeed in a world of increasing complexity and change.

Kathryn Burgner is a member of the class of 2013 at Bentley University and is majoring in Information Design & Corporate Communications, with minors in Marketing and Gender Studies. Kathryn is so excited to be a part of the Her Campus team and be the founder of Her Campus Bentley! Kathryn loves going to school near Boston, but she also loves her hometown of Dalton, MA, where she grew up in the Berkshires on a turkey farm. Kathryn loves singing, acting, dancing ballet, baking, & playing volleyball, and is interested in gender issues, fashion, and health & fitness. She is a founding member of the Masters of Bentley Acappella (MBAs) and enjoys being involved with the Women's Center at Bentley, Alpha Psi Omega Honorary Theatre Society, and Resident Assistance at Bentley. Kathryn aspires to work as an editor, social media professional, or marketing design professional in Boston, MA after her experiences at Bentley! Kathryn would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support towards all of her experiences and dreams.
