Is it Sunday? Are you scared? We’ve all been there. The end of a seemingly never-ending weekend is a the worst! If the tasks of the week to come are more daunting than you remember they were on Friday, you’re in the right place. I have come up with a list of tips and tricks that I found make my Sundays less stressful and more relaxing.

1. Make a List

Make a list of everything that has to be done. If you want to take this a step further, I like to organize my list by both importance and due date. This way, I have a map of what must be done, and what I don’t exactly have to finish by the end of the day.

2. Self Care

Take a shower, shave, shampoo and condition, moisturize, and do your skin care routine. Self-care routines often make me feel like a brand new person. My routine forces me to slow down, be mindful, and reminds me that I am capable of doing anything.

3. Eat Breakfast

Food is fuel. Eat something to power your body and mind. When they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, they’re not wrong!

4. Start Small

Personally, I like getting my easy 5-minute tasks like doing my dishes or throwing my laundry in the wash out of the way first. It makes me feel accomplished to check things off, and makes me feel more motivated to keep going.

5. Take Breaks

Don’t kill yourself stressing. Reward yourself every hour or two by kicking back. There are many hours in a day – enough to get things done in a cool, calm, and collected way.

I hope this helps all the scared Sunday-ers. I and all of us at HerCampus believe in you!
