Her Campus Bentley Meets Sapphire, the Author of the Book “Push” (the basis for the movie “Precious”)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

This past Wednesday, October 17th, the Her Campus Bentley members and several other Bentley students, faculty, and staff had the amazing opportunity to meet Sapphire, the author of the book Push, which the movie Precious was based on. She was an inspirational woman to meet and it was really cool to learn more about her experience writing Push, seeing it transform into the movie Precious, and about her new book about Precious’s son, Abdul, called The Kid. Check out our picture with her below!
