New year, new semester, new routine. This is an opportunity for a fresh start. Kicking off the semester with strong habits will help you stick to them. Here are some of my recommendations to help you get organized this fall.

Get a planner

Write down all of your assignments to make sure you stay up to date with all of your work. This ensures you don’t miss anything, and allows you to plan out your work in advance.

Use a Calendar

If it’s not already, Outlook is your new best friend. Writing down your schedule helps you visualize your week so that you can pace yourself.

Set reminders

If you struggle to keep track of everything you have going on, you should set yourself alarms to stay on schedule. Little reminders of what you have to do throughout the day helps keep you on track and takes the pressure off of having to remember everything you have to do.

Make a to-do List

Physically writing down everything you have to do in order of due dates is a great way to stay organized. It’s also a good way to manage productivity and track your progress.
