Emily’s Boston Finds!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

My favorite bars in Boston for a great night out on the town!

Please be advised this article is to promote my favorite bars to those readers who are 21+, drink responsibly my fellow collegiettes.

Even though Bentley is outside of Boston, we do just fine getting into the city to enjoy the local bars and clubs on the weekends. With a free shuttle into Harvard Square, getting on the T couldn’t be easier! Sometimes we even take party busses and trolleys in for special occasions. I wanted to share with you my favorites and hope some of you adventure into Boston and love these hot spots as much as I do.

There are quiet a few that I enjoy, and I am always eager to try new places too with so much that Boston has to offer. I included not only bars that are great for dancing with your friends, but also more relaxed places, my favorite happy hour, as well as some great places to enjoy during the day if you’re in the city for a sporting event!

1.      West End Johnnies

2.      Coogan’s

3.      The Harp

4.      Howl at the Moon

5.      Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar

6.      Market

7.      Cask n’ Flagon

Check out any of these websites to see photos of these great bars. Cask n’ Flagon was my favorite stop before enjoying a Red Sox game with Boston Beers Works and Bleacher Bar very close by. Mija Cantina is a great bar; I really enjoyed their happy hour with great margaritas and tacos. If you are looking for a place with a roof top deck on a warm summer night Market is a great choice. A friend of mine told me Whiskey Priest has a great outdoor atmosphere as well. The Harp, Howl at the Moon, and West End Johnnies are a blast for a night of great music both dj’s and live, and dancing; I highly recommend country night at Johnnies if you enjoy that music genre. Howl has the most amazing piano players and singers that perform just about any song you can think of. I hope you get to venture out in the city and try one of these places and love them as much as I do.
