Playing on the Women’s Bentley Ultimate Society is one of my favorite parts of my life at Bentley, and for this week’s Campus Celeb, I caught up with one of my former teammates and a recent Bentley graduate, Emily Wanless!

Her Campus Bentley: What year did you graduate from Bentley?

Emily Wanless: 2013

HCB: What was your major and/or minors?

EW: Eco-Fi with Global Perspectives LSM

HCB: Where did you start working after graduation?

EW: Corporate Finance at Vistaprint. I interned here all through senior year.

HCB: Do you like your job/where you work?

EW: Love it! I couldn’t imagine working somewhere else after college because it’s the perfect transition from college to the professional world. The culture and people here are so great and it’s a very young company.

HCB: What activities/committees were you involved in on campus?

EW: WoBUS

HCB: What are your best memories from college?

EW: Frisbee tournaments and hanging out with everyone on the weekends.

HCB: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

EW: Hopefully close to a managerial position or at least much further than an entry level job and definitely at Vistaprint still.

HCB: What do you miss most about being at Bentley?

EW: My friends living right across the hall from me. Coordinating getting together is so much more difficult!

HCB: Do you still keep in touch with your friends from college?

EW: Yup! The good thing is that most people stay around Boston so we can still see each other.

HCB: What advice would you give graduating seniors?

EW: If you decide that finance/accounting/marketing or whatever you’re majoring in isn’t what you want to do for the rest of your life, just take a job. Eventually you’ll have paid off your loans, moved out of your parent’s house and will be able to start looking for something you really want to do with your life. Finance isn’t going to be my end career but it’s money right now and I enjoy the people and that’s enough for me right out of college. Eventually I’ll be in a place that I can start searching for something I really want to do as a career.
