The Do’s and Dont’s at Bentley

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

DO-Learn how to cook so you can save your tastebuds and your stomachs from Seasons (or the 921)

DON’T-Blow through all your discresh in the first month or so, make sure you save some for those late nights you’ll stay up around finals and want those mozzarella sticks at midnight.

DO-Take advantage of living near the city, but not in it. Use the shuttle and spend a Saturday shopping or adventuring

DON’T-Stay on campus always. I promise you, you will go crazy if you don’t give yourself a break once in awhile

DO-Go to sporting events! We may not always win, but it’s a fun thing to do other than study on any given night

DON’T-Get too crazy before said sporting events (if you catch my drift) so you’ll actually make it through the game (or at least long enough to get a free t-shirt)

DO-Get to know more people than just your friend group

DON’T-Keep quiet about issues with your circle–bring it up as soon as possible, because after all, you may end up living with them and no one likes tension

DO-Wear layers to all your classes because you will sweat walking up the hill, and that’s not cute

DON’T-Wear clothes you can’t function in and could possibly trip over or fall down the stairs in…(Just trust me on this)

DO-Get to know your professors and visit their office hours as much as you can

DON’T– Wait until the last minute to do projects and assignments, because no one will want to deal with you stressing out about it, especially not your professor…

DO-Make the most out of your experience at Bentley. This is college. Build relationships and enjoy it while you can. It’ll fly by faster than you can imagine.
