Chris Dodge ’15

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

Name: Chris Dodge

Year of graduation: 2015

Hometown: Monroe, CT

Current employer: Datawatch

HCB: How’s life been for you beyond Bentley? What do you do?

CD: Going pretty well. I’m a business development rep for Datawatch. I sell self-service data preparation software to the masses.

HCB: Do you do anything athletic in your free time? Maybe you’ve joined a men’s softball league since you’ve graduated?

CD: Rough question. My desire to stay in shape comes and goes. I try and go outdoors and hike with my roommate but my best athletic days are probably behind me. Are dad bods still in?

HCB: What was one of your favorite memories at Bentley?

CD: Don’t make me choose! Okay probably going to Jay Peak with my friends. You haven’t experienced a water park until it’s indoors

HCB: Are there any classes you didn’t get to take that you really wanted to?

CD: Baseball history. I love baseball but not enough to wake up for a 9:55 on a Friday.

HCB: List your Bentley favorites: Person, food, bathroom, class, drink, laundry room, etc.

CD: Person: The people who swiped you into seasons, I forget their names but they were always great.

Food: They used to make these cold Cuban sandwiches at seasons I would always be pumped for.

Bathroom- 4 floor Jenison bathroom because it’s haunted (starting a rumor)

Laundry room: Miller, it was always empty

HCB: Out of all the places you lived on Bentley’s campus, rank them from best to worst and why.

CD: 1. Falcone East- It had a kitchen

2. Falcone North – we had a bunch of space and there are no rules on lower. Like the Wild West

3. Miller – room was pretty small but I’ve stayed friends with a lot of people who lived on my floor.

4. Forest – Our room was gross and had no windows and there was always a ton of trash and there were 7 of us in there. Oh and we had fruit flies, I don’t know how they got in but there were a ton and one day we came back from Thanksgiving break and they were all dead.

HCB: Ever think about settling down? Maybe having a few kids?

CD: These questions are really all over the place. Maybe, but having no one to be responsible for but myself is pretty great right now.

HCB: What legacy did you leave behind here?

CD: I was a LEGEND. No but really that’s a tough question. I hope people think I was an okay guy who would go the extra mile for people if they needed it.

HCB: What’s a piece or two of advice you would give to current Bentley students?

CD: 1.Meet people from different backgrounds and expand your horizons. You have more in common than you would think with most people anyways.

       2. People can surprise you with how much they change. In the sense that just because someone is quiet or shy or different doesn’t mean they won’t make a 180 and be completely different in a year. Hate it or love it, the underdogs on top baby.
