Celebrating Girlhood: Inside Our Galentine’s Event

Last week, our creative space on campus turning into the coziest, pinkest, most joy-filled place as we gathered for a Galentine’s celebration. In the middle of a busy semester, a bunch of girls came together to slow down, laugh, create, and soak up the kind of community that makes college feel like home :)

The star activity of the night was painting wooden heart-shaped jewelry boxes! And yes, it was as cute as it sounds. Tables were covered in paint, palettes, glitter, stickers, and the kind of chaotic craft energy that only happens when everyone is fully in their creative era. Every box ended up looking completely different, and it was so cool to see everyone’s imagination come to life.

Whether it was a gift for someone else, or a keepsake for the club, it was so special to create something special all together. The vibes were unique – there is something about watching girls hype each other up over paint choices, share supplies, and compliment each other’s designs. It was girlhood in its purest form & full of tiny moments that make you feel connected.

Events like this remind us why Galentine’s exists in the first place. It is a chance to celebrate the friendships that carry us, the communities we build, and the joy of simply being together. Here’s to more nights like this, more creativity, and more spaces where girls can show up exactly as they are!

Happy Galentine’s, always <3

Hi! I'm a senior at Bentley University and love being part of the HerCampus community! As the Co-President I want to broaden my writing skills and gain insight from other amazing females :) I love my family, my dog, and the fall season. When I am not in class or on a run, you can find me playing soccer, reading a book, at the gym, or hanging with friends.
