We all know how important it is to make money over the summer in order to spend it all over the course of the year, so here are some of the best jobs a girl can get!

5)    Nanny
School is out, so working parents will be in need of babysitters. One of the best ways to get a little extra cash in the summer is to ask around the neighborhood to see if anyone is looking for a nanny.  You’ll get paid to play outside, watch TV, take daytrips…maybe they’ll even have a pool!

4)    Outdoor Waitress
This one is a red flag for those of you who have beach houses!  I’m a constant visitor to Sound View Beach in Old Lyme and The Pavilion always seems like the place to be!  You’ll make great tips because everyone there is in a great mood!

3)    Camp Counselor
If you’re good with kids this is an excellent opportunity for you.  I’ve had many friends who have done this for the summer and had a blast. It’s such a great job because you can make lots of lasting friendships and you’ll get a ton of great experience for your resume.

2)    Lifeguard
Lifeguarding can be a hard gig to catch, but once you go through the training, swim tests, and obtain your certifications you’ll be loving your summer job.  Whether you’re on a beach or at a pool, you can soak up the sun all day (and it pays well!) Not to mention all the cute boys you’ll be working with…

1)    Beverage Cart Girl on a Golf Course
This is my number one favorite summer job because it’s what I do (forgive me for giving into my biased opinion).  For the past two summers I’ve spent home I have spent my days driving around on a golf cart serving drinks to happy golfers with generous tipping habits. The better you get to know the men, the more you make.  Added bonus: rain=day off!
