Name:
Brian Bramswig
Major/Graduation Year: Economics/Finance 2013

HC: When did you realize you wanted to get into a music career?
BB: I knew that I wanted to work in the business since I was in middle school. Even at that age, everything I did revolved around the music; I started writing my own songs at 14 and never looked back.

HC: Where do you get your inspirations from?
BB:My family and friends have been supporting me since the days I had nothing going for me, and so I definitely stride to make them proud. I get ideas for songs throughout the day, and I usually write them down during class so my notes are always half school and half lyrics… Inspiration is all around us, you can get inspired after a night out, watching a movie, or just sitting by yourself thinking.

HC: So right now you are in Australia, have you continued with your music over there?
BB:Absolutely! I just finished up shooting a new music video that’s due out in the next week or so. I’ve obviously have continued to write new songs that are going to be on my sophomore mixtape coming out shortly after I get back to the states.  Australian people have really been supporting the music, I’ve done a few interviews as well as photo shoots here and we are in the process of booking a major show at a venue. Even though I’m gone it’s like I never really left because I can still connect with my fans through Twitter and Facebook. Social media is awesome!

HC: What are your future plans with your music and how do you hope to incorporate it with your major?
BB:I obviously want to continue to grow with the music and within the industry; I’m just gonna keep on making music people can connect with and everything else will work itself out. I’m majoring in Economics/Finance at Bentley University; this obviously doesn’t have much to do with creating rhyme schemes and beat selections, but at the end of the day the music industry is a business and after graduation I’ll be able to confidently say I’m an educated young man that understands how the corporate world thinks and functions. Only a handful of rappers can say they have a college degree, it’s something that separates me from the pack and it’s something my family and friends are proud of.
