It’s that time of year again. Fall has arrived and with it we say good-bye to summer and hello to friends, classes, stress, and the Smith stairs. It’s a new school year, full of exciting possibilities and opportunities just waiting to be snatched up. Below, you’ll find your Bentley fall bucket list; complete as many tasks as you can and live up to your fullest potential this semester!

  1. You hopefully attended the Activities Fair on the 9th and signed up for new clubs or activities. It is now your task to actually ATTEND these meetings (at least one per club).
  2. Run (that’s right, run) up the Smith stairs to get back into the swing of things. Grab frozen yogurt as a reward from LaCava before going back down.
  3. Attend at least three campus events hosted by organizations. Laugh your head off at The Female Orgasm on the 19th, hosted by the Women’s Center. Go to one of the APO productions or Culturefest- the possibilities are endless!
  4. Go to the Study Abroad fair and find out more about that one place you’ve always wanted to go. If you’ve already studied abroad, share your stories!
  5. Pick up the discounted passes at the library and go to the New England Aquarium, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, or one of the many other museum options.
  6. Sunbathe on the Green Space before it gets too cold and the sun disappears.
  7. Get to know at least one of your professors (more is better!). They give great advice and can be awesome connections in the future.
  8. De-stress by going to the gym with your friends- don’t forget your headphones so you can watch one of the TVs!
  9. Sign up for a focus group in the Center for Marketing Technology (in Morison). Most of them pay, and usually don’t take more than an hour or so.
  10. Go to at least one event in Harry’s Pub- it regularly hosts live music, trivia nights, karaoke, and much more! The events are posted online and in the Student Center.
  11. Gather up a group of friends and go apple picking one weekend. There’s nothing better than fresh apples (bonus: they’re healthy!). Check out a bunch of locations here.
  12. Ask your parents to come out for Homecoming/Parents weekend (this year it’s October 14-16). Reunions, good food, football, and Bentley tradition all in one day!
  13. Coordinate with your friends and make your own Halloween costumes…let’s try to keep it classy, ladies!
  14. Go to Seasons for Thanksgiving dinner and eat that good food like it is going out of style (seriously, we all know it’s the best meal of the year).
  15. Finally, for the end of the semester, turn your room into a winter wonderland. Make paper snowflakes, get twinkle lights, and transform your space!

Remember- it’s your mission (and ours at HC Bentley) to complete as many of these tasks as you can. We look forward to hearing about your accomplishments- make sure to leave comments so we can track your progress!
