Do you want to spend the perfect fall day in New York? I have the perfect itinerary planned out, so you don’t have to scroll through TikTok or search the web for “what to do in New York in November 2025”.

First, you are going to want to hit the famous Bubbys in the West Village. But here’s the catch: you are going to place an online order of their notoriously known fluffy and delicious pancakes. By the time you catch the subway or walk over, they will be ready for pickup and you can sit on a stoop nearby and devour them. Ordering for pickup is a must so you can enjoy their famous pancakes without waiting in a ridiculously long line.

Then you will make your way to Fellini’s and grab any drink you want, enjoying it as you head to Central Park to admire the gorgeous fall foliage. Spend at least two hours in Central Park walking around, watching the sailboats and then stopping to see the tiny rowboats all the while taking the most captivating pictures for your Instagram story. While in Central Park, you can stop at a bench in the park and read, people-watch, or journal. You can also just take in your surroundings, hearing the laughter of children and watching the squirrels climb up the trees.

Once the sun starts setting (since daylight savings makes it set at literally 4 pm), you’ll head over to the Upper East Side, where you’ll find each stoop decorated with unique decor for tons of great pictures. And stick with me here- you’ll stumble upon the smallest, coziest restaurant where you can grab dinner and a drink.

Before the night ends, you’ll need a sweet treat after dinner. Stop at Levain’s Bakery and grab a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie to end the perfect day.

That is how to spend a cozy autumn day in New York City!
