It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for – the farm stand at Bentley has officially been announced and will be launching TODAY!

The 1st Annual Bentley Farmstand Featuring “Nagog Hill Farm” will be TODAY (Tuesday, September 20th) from 3pm-5pm in the Student Center (2nd Floor)! Don’t forget to stop at the ATMs in Collins, LaCava, or the Student Center for some cash prior to going to the stand.

While it isn’t a full-blown farmer’s market yet, this farm stand signifies great things to come for Bentley. In August of 2011, Bentley students expressed, through a survey, their overwhelming excitement and support for this possible new resource to come to campus. An email received from Student Affairs today stated that Nagog Hill Farm will be featuring, “apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, plums, and assorted vegetables” – YUM!

We love the idea of being able to support local farmers while getting the fresh fruits and vegetables that we all need and love! Stay tuned over the coming months for more updates on the farm stand and farmer’s market, as well as some great ways to put these fresh fruits and veggies to use. More information on the survey results and interest at Bentley will also be coming up!

Kudos to the Bentley Student Affairs office and others who helped to bring this wonderful opportunity and resource to Bentley!
