Nashville Fall Concert Guide

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Belmont chapter.

Living in Nashville there are an infinite amount of concerts on any given night. If you want to see live music you will not be disappointed here. Here are some of the concerts I think are worth checking out from September 21 to October 6.

Misterwives with Smallpools and Vinyl Theatre

When: Thursday, September 21 at 7 pm

Where: Cannery Ballroom

$: General Admission $27

Songs you may know: “Reflections”, “Vagabond”, and “Machine”

Why go?: Misterwives came on the popular music scene after touring with Twenty One Pilots. There show is upbeat and ecstatic, keeping you excited the entire time. Their music is as eclectic as their style and you can tell how passionate they are about their music.

Sylvan Esso with Helado Negro

When: Friday, September 22 at 8 pm

Where: Ryman Auditorium

$: Only single seats are available right now at $30 a piece

Songs you may know: “Die Young”, “Coffee”, and “Radio”

Why go?: Sylvan Esso as a duet have exploded in alternative music since their self titled debut album in 2014. The duo produces mellow music that is easy to let go and dance to.

Kings of Leon with Dawes

When: Friday, September 29 at 7 pm

Where: First Tennessee Park

$: $49.50-$89.50

Songs you may know: “Use Somebody”, “Waste a Moment”, and “Reverend”

Why go?: I am sure we all know the hit “Use Somebody” from Kings of Leon. The Nashville based band made their name from that song and have gone up ever since. Their seventh and newest album has been a smash hit within the alternative scene and their live performance on YouTube. With a show like this it’s worth paying some extra cash.

Mutemath with Colony House

When: Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 7:30 pm

Where: Ryman Auditorium

$: $25-$35

Songs you may know: “Used To”, “Monument”, and “Joy Rides”

Why go?: This is another band that after touring with Twenty One Pilots has really taken off. Their shows are upbeat and involve the crowd while also maintaining a great performance of their music. The whole band is involved in the performance and their synth-pop beats shake the entire venue.

LANY

Where: Marathon Music Works

Why go?: LANY (pronounced lay-nee) have been performing all summer at music festivals around the country. Their music is mellow and alternative and they have toured with top names such as Halsey, Troye Sivan, and Ellie Goulding. If you have nothing to do on a Thursday night this concert will definitely not be a waste of $20.

Whethan with Opia and SAINT WKND
