What is the name of your blog and when did you start it?
SIlence Transformed – December 2014
What kind of music do you cover?
Mostly Alt-Pop/Rock, but anything that I like/see potential in.
What inspired you to start your own blog?
My friends telling me to yell at the internet about music instead of them. And a combined love of writing and music.
What do you hope readers get from your content?
I hope they find something cool to listen to! Occasionally entertainment as well. We had a really funny interview with an artist called Fractures, and we do put up fashion/music articles up sometimes too!
What is your favorite memory that has happened becasue of your blog?
Covering Vans Warped Tour and getting to interview artists there. That wasn’t directly my blog. It was for another one, thnksfrthrvw (http://thnksfrthrvw.tumblr.com/), that I write for, but I wouldn’t have been able to do that if I hadn’t started the site.
If you could interview any artist/band dead or alive who would it be? Why?
This is pretty lame considering all of the ledgends out there, but probably someone like The 1975 because they were one of the bands that really sparked my interest in music.
What hopes do you have for your blog?
I’m really hoping to start something like Mahogany Sessions associated with it, and overall having more contributers and more content. Just growing the audience. I’d love to do a zine as well.
Do you want to continue it after college?
Yes, I do! It’s a really fun thing to do, and I take it pretty seriously.
What has music done for you or how has it impacted your life?
Loads of stuff! It’s introduced me to some of my best friends, and it’s literally influenced what I want to do as a career.
