Last week the Recording Academy released the 2018 Grammy Nominations and revealed news that was already public: it has been a big year for women in the music industry. SZA is the reigning Queen holding down nominations in five different categories. Other artists like Kesha, Lorde, and Lady Gaga are being recognized after releasing the most vulnerable music of their careers. It is empowering to see these women use their art and platform to take control of what they want to create and say. We need even MORE of this girl power!!!
