As you all know, and most likely have been thinking about for an unreasonably large amount of time, Halloween is just around the corner. If you’re like me, you have at least three costumes in the works, if not more. While preparing the perfect set of spooky, silly, and cute outfits to wear out on Halloweekend is necessary and of the upmost importance, you must not forget to prepare the perfect Halloween themed party playlist. I have selected 10 songs to get you all started. The first five songs are what I would consider to be classic Halloween songs, and the next five songs are more modern picks to get the party going:

  1. Monster Mash – Bobby “Boris” Pickett
  2. Superstition – Stevie Wonder
  3. Thriller – Michael Jackson
  4. Rock Lobster – The B-52’s
  5. Time Warp – Richard O’Brien, Little Nell, Patricia Quinn
  6. Monster – Kanye West, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver
  7. Disturbia – Rihanna
  8. Ghosts N’ Stuff – Deadmau5, Rob Swire
  9. Get Ur Freak On – Missy Elliot
  10. Cannibal – Ke$ha

I hope you all make like Missy Elliot this upcoming Halloweekend and get your freak on, but please avoid making like Ke$ha and turning into cannibals. Nothing quite puts a damper on a party like cannibalism.
