This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

In the past few weeks, I have found myself in numerous conversations where the question was suddenly asked, “What was your favorite part about this year?”  Now that the year is winding down, it seems everyone wants to know what our best memories are and which experiences we will remember most.  And as students of a Jesuit university, we have been well-trained in the art of reflection.

A common phrase used on campus is “highs and lows.”  In group settings like Appalachia and Cura, BC students go around and share their personal “highs and lows” from their day or week.  It’s a good way to remember an incredible “high” we experienced or to better understand a particularly challenging “low.”  As our year comes to a close, I thought we could all enjoy a review of our “highs and lows.”  I asked collegiettes™ from every grade to reflect on their year at BC.  Here are their responses to the 2010-2011 year!

Now we can’t wait to return to this beautiful campus next fall!

One of my favorite responses was “The ‘Friday’ song phenomenon… could be a high or a low.”  Marathon Monday was, hands down, the most mentioned “high” from BC collegiettes™.  I’m inclined to believe it really was the greatest day of the year, rather than just the most recent thing in our memory!  The good news is that the list of “highs” was overwhelmingly longer than the “lows”!  Some girls simply ignored their “lows” because they had too many good memories to think of.

I hope you enjoyed seeing other BC girls’ “highs and lows,” remembering how much you personally loved and hated the same experiences.  I can’t wait to go home for summer, but reading all of these “highs” has me excited for all that 2011-2012 will bring.  Please share your own “highs and lows” if they weren’t mentioned!
