Although we’ve been publishing articles daily since the first week in September, consistantly claiming bragging rights to being one of the top Her Campus branches in the nation, it’s time to officially celebrate our success and kick off the Her Campus Boston College year. And it’s time to do it with a bang. This year, HC BC is launching with a one-of-a-kind event… the first ever HC BC CEO4Teens Date Auction!
What is this Date Auction? Here’s how it will work. Tickets go on sale online through WePay on Friday, Sept. 30 at 9 am. The link to buy the $10 tickets will be available on our homepage, as well as on the Facebook event page, which is hyperlinked above. All proceeds will benefit CEO4Teens (if you don’t know about CEO, just click it and read all about it!).
Ticket purchased, you will come out to Roggie’s for a smashing good time at 7 pm. At 7:20, Sexual Chocolate will start off the night with a performance, and then emcee Mike Judd will kick off the raffle! You will be able to purchase tickets for each of our fabulous bachelors and bachelorettes for $2 each, in hopes of your name being drawn for whoever you’re hoping to go on a date with! At the end of the night, we’ll draw the winners.
Commercials and fliers are about to explode all over campus… so get ready!
In the meantime… check out some of our fabulous bachelors and bachelorettes!

Why should someone want to win a date with you? They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, so with these thousand words I’ll paint a picture in your mind that breaks the rule of thirds.
What is one “deal breaker” you just can’t overlook? If you start hooking up with another guy in the middle of our date… it’s probably not going to work out between us, darling.
What is your idea of a perfect date? Well I’m kind of a hopeless romantic so this answer would take too long to write. But at the same time, sometimes dates can be great because they’re so simple.

And I love to laugh and can usually make any situation a good time!
What is one “deal breaker” you just can’t overlook? Someone who can’t laugh at themselves or has no sense of humor, and bad breath!
What is your idea of a perfect date? Pretty simple: I love just going to a movie, having a romantic dinner, and sharing a decadent dessert- and flowers would be a plus!

Name: Bernard Homicile
Year: CSOM 2013
Major: CSOM undecided (thinking about an accounting major with two minors in finance and international business)
Hometown: Brockton, MA
More about Bernard: He’s funny. He’s smart. He’s a real cuddler and a cutie. But most of all, he dances for Sexual Chocolate. When he’s not busy practicing with the team, he can be found bonding with his “brothers/teammates,” or working at his hometown hospital. He’s a well-rounded student who loves basketball and has a bit of a tough time remembering he goes to Boston College for the academics and not the ladies. Find out just how lovin’ and cute this guy can be!

What’s your type? I don’t really have a type, but if you have a nice smile and cute eyes, then you got me. Also, she should have a good sense of humor. I like a girl that laughs.

Major: English/International Studies
Hometown: Los Angeles
BC Involvement:
VP of OLAA, Mock Trial, RA for Reslife
Why should someone want to win a date with you?
Because I’m up for anything and energetic. So if you want to go scuba diving or scale buildings, but can’t find a girl to do it with you, I’m the girl for the job!
What is one “deal breaker” you just can’t overlook?
Picky eaters! Do not take me to an ethnic restaurant and then eat a burger and fries. If he doesn’t think I’m funny, but instead, weird… and forcing it doesn’t count!
What is your idea of a perfect date?
I would want to go downtown to a dive bar/restaurant and eat amazing authentic food which may or may not give us food poisoning. Then, I enjoy window shopping for things I could never afford, funny hats, animals, or an outdoor event such as a concert or comedy show.
Have you had any ridiculous dating experiences?
I’ve literally had someone refer to themselves in the third person. Also, this guy took a spiked brownie 7 hours before our dinner, but it didn’t wear off in time and he was slightly hallucinating during the meal.
Other bachelors and bachelorettes include:
Cara Condon, Steve Pope, D.J. Adams, and Lexi Zonfrell!
