This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

You all know the story by now. Five ordinary guys team up on the British hit TV show The X Factor and become international superstars. You don’t have to be a die-hard fan to know their catchy hit “That’s What Makes You Beautiful.” But why stop there? You don’t have to be a tween to enjoy One Direction’s music. Here are some reason’s why it’s okay to listen to and enjoy One Direction songs:

  1. Chances are that your friends secretly listen to One Direction too and you both are missing out on a serious bonding experience. Don’t be embarrassed or try to hide your addiction to One Direction. Slip in a song or two on your party play list and see what people say!

2. There simply are no boy bands left anymore. Lets face it; everyone needs a go-to boy band. So why not make yours One Direction?

3. As much as you hate to admit it, the guys of One Direction are extremely attractive. How can you resist these faces?

4. They come out with a new CD nearly every year, so you will always have new songs to look forward to…

Here are some songs you should definitely check out on their newest album, “Midnight Memories”

  • “Strong”
  • “Happily”
  • “Better Than Words”
  • “Alive”

One Direction can be enjoyed by all! Definitely check them out!
