When I tell people I’m from New Hampshire, people express how boring it must be or they ask me how many cows there are. I’ve even had someone tell me how “exotic” New Hampshire is because no one seems to be from there. I tell these people, in fact, that I absolutely love the state that I grew up in. I live only 45 minutes from Boston, New Hampshire’s beaches, and historic cities such as Exeter and Portsmouth. There are so many things to see and do during all four of the beautiful seasons. Here are some of my favorite locations in New Hampshire:
New Hampshire is home to a beautiful mountain range. I have hiked a couple of these mountains and there’s nothing like the view from the top!
For those who love quaint towns with incredible views, I would suggest going to North Conway. Seated in the White Mountain Range, North Conway is surrounded by nature and beauty. A trip on the Conway Scenic Railroad will make you feel like you’re on a nineteenth century adventure!
Portsmouth is the quintessential New England town. It is home to many historical landmarks, such as Strawberry Banke, as well as decadent restaurants and local businesses. In the summer, you can see plays at Prescott Park or take a historical walking tour of the city!
Canobie Lake Park is a great attraction for the whole family. I used to go here as a kid on field trips or for a fun summer day. In the fall, Canobie turns into a Halloween park with haunted houses and, of course, caramel apples.
