Where to Dine During Corona! Your guide to some of the best outdoor dining in Boston.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

1. Cityside

Your local American tavern turned into a COVID-friendly outdoor dining spot. Cityside Tavern, located in Cleveland Circle, is just minutes from Boston College’s Campus and has direct access through the BC bus route. Cityside is our go-to spot for delicious bar food, and we never leave without getting their mouthwatering sheet tray nachos and buffalo dip. Reservations are available both on their outdoor terrace and their newly created downstairs patio. Their freshly renovated inside also has socially-distanced tables. Cityside is open for Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, and offers specials for “Taco Tuesday” and Happy Hours.

2. Lolita (Fort Point)

Your favorite Back Bay Mexican spot has moved to Boston Harbor’s Fort Point Channel, boasting beautiful views and an expansive outdoor deck. They offer the same great food as their Back Bay location but an arguable a much better ambiance. This is a Boston go-to for margaritas and tacos, making for a perfect girls’ night or date spot. We highly recommend you check it out while the weather is still nice!

3. Barcelona

This hip spot is the perfect place for a weekend dinner with friends or a boozy weekend brunch. Just further down Beacon St. in Brookline, Mass, Barcelona has some of the best tapas around. Some of our favorite dishes are the housemade ricotta, make your own charcuterie boards, and the chorizo with sweet and sour figs. Their outdoor tablespace has expanded onto the street, making for even more socially distanced dining.

4. Saltie Girl

Located on Boston’s beloved Newbury Street, this previously indoor-only restaurant has taken over MET Back Bay’s Patio. You can’t dine here without trying their lobster roll paired with their very own salt and vinegar potato chips or the warm spicy king crab roll. Make sure to check out this place soon to get your last fix of summer seafood!

5. Tavern in the Square

Your game day go-to, Tavern in the Square is perfect for a socially distanced tavern tailgate. Located in Allston, this restaurant supplies perfect gameday vibes and screening access. Don’t forget to try out their adult Capri suns or their pumpkin spice martinis if you are feeling adventurous. Be sure to reserve a table in advance during your favorite team’s kickoff time.
