What’s in Your Bag?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Usually when I head out of my room for the school day, I have my bag packed with everything I need for class, meetings, and the occasional library night.  Now I don’t know about you, but for me, a packed bag that will get me through the day means a heavy bag.  I’m not talking about just a couple textbooks, notebooks, pens, and laptop; I mean everything I could possibly need.  If there’s anything I learned from my years as a Girl Scout – besides how to start a fire while camping – it’s to always be prepared.  Yep, that means I’ve got my Advil in case I get a headache during class, some deodorant (you never now), a small hand lotion, to name a few.  I can guarantee if we ever have a class together, I will never ask to borrow a pen.  In fact, I’m the person that gets asked by others when they forget one, since of course, I come handy with a couple back-ups.

This got me wondering what every other girl is lugging around campus.  Our bags are usually bulging, yet we carry them from our room to Gasson for class, then down to Hillside for lunch, then back up to Carney for more class, then to the Plex, followed by Mac for a meeting, and then to Bapst for a few hours before finally going home.  I asked girls on campus what exactly they’re carrying in those bags and discovered I’m not the only Girl Scout that learned to come prepared!

Junior Chess Falzone and sophomore Katherine Donahue were shocked to realize some of the things they found in their bags!
