What to Expect in the Third Season of Revenge

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

After a long summer of recovery from the Revenge Season 2 finale, it’s safe to say that the third season of Revenge is full of (even more) attractive men and the twisted revenge plot that Emily Thorne has tangled herself up in. What started as a vendetta against the Grayson family to avenge her father’s death has flourished into Emily’s elaborate double life, leaving us viewers to question what feelings are real and what is a part of her master plan.

So what can we expect from Emily Thorne and the Grayson family this season?

The wedding is back on! Or is it? Can Emily and Daniel mend all of the problems that resulted in their last break up? Emily’s “final take down” of the Graysons will take place at her wedding, so it is safe to say that she will not follow through with the deed. That leads us viewers to the big question that is looming over this shocking season of Revenge: who shoots Emily in the chest on her wedding day and does that shot kill her? It seems like anyone could be the culprit… however I think that the shooter will be someone that we least expect, such as Jack or Nolan. Could someone genuinely want Emily dead, or could this shooting be a part of a larger scheme? One thing we know for sure is the show could not go on without Emily, so we can expect to see her alive and well for the next season.

Another question that weighs heavily on all of our minds, who will Emily end up with? As easy as it is for us to think that Aiden will be the one who ends up with Emily’s heart, I think that Emily will finally be with her one true love, Jack Porter, but in a way that none of us could expect. The shot that we all expect to kill Emily may actually be the bullet that allows Emily to fake her death and pursue her revenge plan in another way. It could even let her live a life with Jack, even if it is off the grid and short-lived. After all, if the infamous Victoria Grayson can fake her death, it seems that just about anyone can on this show.

Let’s not forget the one thing that we will DEFINITELY see more of this season, the extravagant style and outfits of the people of the Hamptons.

Nolan Ross never ceases to impress. From his vintage sailor outfit that he modeled at his pool party, to the shirt that proudly modeled his mug shot right on front, the man is a legend.

Of course, who could forget Victoria Grayson, probably the best-dressed mother in the history of television.

From the fashion of the elite to murder and revenge, this season of ABC’s hit drama is sure to surprise its viewers. Hopefully these predictions can help everyone prepare for the undeniable end to Season 3: the shooting of main character Emily Thorne. I know I can’t wait to see what happens!
