Time to Get Festive: Holiday Cocktails

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

As a Christmas enthusiast, I am proud to admit that I have been listening to Christmas music since November 1st. Even though I have considered it Christmastime for a good couple weeks now, many of you will finally be coming around to the holiday lights and music following Thanksgiving. With this in mind, here is a list of delicious holiday cocktails that are sure to spice up any gathering from an ugly Christmas sweater Mod party to a classy Christmas Eve family gathering.

Winter Sea Breeze

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz tonic syrup
  • 2 oz soda water
  • pomegranate seeds
  • 3 mint leaves (used for garnish)

The Grinch

  • 2 oz Midori
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of simple syrup

Gingerbread Martini

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 ½oz Kahlua
  • 1 ½oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • 3oz gingerbread syrup (Check out this link for directions on how to make homemade gingerbread syrup!)
  • 2 ½oz half and half
  • Gingerbread cookies and whipped cream for garnish

Cranberry and Rosemary White Christmas Sangria

  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • 1 Braeburn Apple
  • 1 cup of fresh cranberries
  • 1 large sprig of rosemary

I am a Political Science major and Women's and Gender Studies minor at Boston College. I am an RA on campus and am involved in the Student Admissions Program. Since I am from Florida, I can legitimately say that I love long walks on the beach. I also love getting lost in a world fabricated by a novel, there is honestly nothing better.
