Thoughts on Starting Second Semester as Told by The Office

We all know coming back to the reality of school after a monthlong break is a drag, but our favorite employees at Dunder-Mifflin feel our pain and sometimes even our excitement.

When you are assigned new groups for the entire semester and you have that kid in your group

When you check your bank account after buying textbooks, Ubering back from the airport, and buying groceries from Wegman’s all in the same weekend

When you bite your tongue from saying this to your professor who says attendance is mandatory, clicker questions are graded, and all exams are cumulative

When you see that one person you haven’t seen since October, and they insist on catching up over coffee at The Chocolate Bar

When you get rejected by the cutie in your business class but don’t actually feel bad because

When you call to follow up on an interview and (almost) nail the voicemail you left

When you’re trying to find a way to fulfill the cultural diversity part of the Core

When all your friends want to go out for the third night in a row and you just want to curl up in a blanket and watch Grey’s

When someone walks in twenty minutes late to your 300-person lecture hall, in front of the professor, and noisily stumbles to the middle of a row to finally take a seat

When you try to tell your friends about the internship you had over break

What you really want to say to that kid that sits in the front row who asks the professor how their break was and raises their hand obnoxiously for every question

When Chainsmokers come to campus AND you actually have a ticket

When you need a little reminder that you will get through the semester, and you will rock it!

So here’s to another semester on The Heights– it may be hard getting back into a routine but admit it, we’re all glad to be back at the place we love.
