Things I Get Irrationally Upset About

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

In my daily life, I strive to be a pretty relaxed person.  I like to think that most things really don’t bother me… but then I decided to make this list.  And I realized, deep down, everything bothers me.  Who would’ve guessed?

1.  Tripping in a very public place.

2.  Wearing rain boots on a day it’s supposed to rain, but then doesn’t.

3.  When someone opens my Snapchat, but doesn’t answer it.

4.  The yogurt in the yogurt bar.  Is that even edible?

5.  Interacting with others before I’ve had my coffee.

6.  Interacting with others in general.

7.  When my jokes are so funny that other people forget to laugh.

8.  Walking behind someone on the stairs when he or she is texting and walking at a glacial pace.

9.  Walking behind anyone who is slower than my grandmother.  I mean, seriously, she’s old and she makes you look like a snail.

10.  Not being Lauren Conrad.

11.  Not being able to stay in bed for approximately 23 hours a day.

12.  People who eat apples during class.  Like, come on.

13.  Paper cuts.

14.  When someone tells me to relax after he or she has done something incredibly stupid.

15.  When someone takes my coffee at Hillside.

16.  Whistling.  It actually might be the worst noise in the entirety of the world.

17.  Not being able to come up with a subject line in an email.

18.  Emails in general.

19.  Seeing boys put chapstick on.

20.  Subtweets that are incredibly blatant.

21.  Days when it’s “socially unacceptable” to wear leggings as pants.

22.  When people start packing up early in class before the professor is done talking.

23.  Being really hungry, but then remembering that I hate everything in Lower.

24.  When someone takes my usual seat in a lecture hall.

25.  Chipping a nail.

26.  Being the only one to awkwardly laugh at a professor’s joke.

27.  Getting the BC Look Away before I can give the BC Look Away

28.  “English major, huh?  What are you planning on doing with that?”
