Everyday we learn new things. There are some things, however, that we will never learn (or at least are highly unlikely) because they are so obscure. Below is list of 10 strange, yet peculiarly interesting, words that exist for everyday things. Sure you may never remember or use them, but hey, it’s still interesting (and will absolutely improve your scrabble game)!
Zarf (noun): The cardboard sleeve you put on your coffee cup to prevent it from burning your hand.
Collywobbles (noun): The feeling of having butterflies in your stomach.
Interrobang (noun): The punctuation combination of a question mark and an exclamation point to show both inquiry and excitement.
Mamihlapinatapai (noun): The look shared by two people who both hope the other will offer to do something that they both want but aren’t willing to do. (Better known as the “I know we are going to get in trouble but you make the first move” look.)

Phloem Bundles (noun): The stringy things you see when peeling a banana.
