I am almost done with my sophomore year and I cannot believe it. I remember my high school graduation so vividly and I remember moving into my freshman door like it was yesterday. As I am getting ready to close out another school year, it is also time to move out. I have met the most amazing people these past two years, and I met the best group of friends that I could ever ask for and knowing that my college experience is halfway over is bittersweet. I do have two more years here, but these past two years have flown by.
This year, I learned how much I hate Econometrics, the people who I can depend on, and how to deal with stress. I learned that exploring Boston is one of the best ways to enjoy a weekend, but it is also okay to stay in and watch TV and order Thai food with friends. I became more open and willing to try new things and talk to new people. I attended the Leadershape Institute and met forty-eight other BC students who were willing to sacrifice a week to discuss and learn how to become better leaders and learn about ourselves. I also learned how to prioritize my time juggling being on an executive board for AHANA Management Academy, taking classes, working, writing for Her Campus, and socializing with friends.
While sophomore year was a success, two more years lie ahead of me. Watching the Boston College videos, which every BC student shares on their Facebook profile, made me reminisce on my year here at BC. I am going to miss this place this summer, but it is reassuring to spend some quality home with my family.
