I am probably the most reasonable shopper ever. If I don’t need it, I don’t buy it. This is probably why I have so much fun finding gifts for my friends—I think of the things I would love to have but don’t really need (and therefore don’t buy for myself).
It’s never too early to start thinking about Secret Santa—especially because you may need to buy a gift over Thanksgiving break when you’re home and can go shopping without your friends knowing (…and make use of Black Friday sales)!
Finding Secret Santa gifts can be hard—especially if you don’t know the girl your buying a gift for very well, or if there’s a tight budget. Here’s a list to get you going on gift ideas!
Good luck and happy shopping on Black Friday!
1. Cute winter accessories: This is a super easy and safe gift idea–especially if you’re not best friends with the person you picked! This scarf is from H&M and is only $12.
2. Nail polish gift set: an easy find around the holidays. Most girls would like this!
3. Homemade hot chocolate mix: if you’re really tight on money, here’s an easy at-home last minute gift idea. There are tons of variations of this gift jar idea on Pinterest. All you need is a mason jar and the ingredients! It’s thoughtful and inexpensive.
4. Makeup gift set: If you can tell she’s into makeup, this is a super easy one. Sephora has tons of different gift sets at various price points.
5. Christmas pajamas: Giving a stranger pajamas could get weird, but if it’s for your bestie (and you’re as weird around your friends as I am), they may really like this gift idea.
6. Pretty journal: A well-designed journal is a safe bet. She doesn’t have to be a writer; journals can be used for tons of things (planner, notes, sketch pad).
7. Candy or chocolate: Always a good idea. Most girls love chocolate. This is a picture of chocolate covered Oreos from Dylan’s Candy Bar, if you’re wondering.
8. Comfy socks: Another gift that gets a bad rep in my opinion. I love getting funny socks for Christmas.
9. Coal: For your friend who will get the joke. Not only are you giving them coal, but you’re also giving them soap. Nice.
10. Books: There’s a book for everyone. If you know the person you’re buying for well enough, and you can think of a book they’d love or find hilarious, it’s a very personal and thoughtful gift.
