Pump-Up Music: Plex Group Fitness Edition

Being a group fitness class fanatic and a Spin instructor at the Plex, I know how important music is to any workout.  The right song can magically motivate anyone to pick up the pace, push harder, or even attempt one more grueling, quiver-inducing rep.  Without inspiring pump-up music, I guarantee that even the most dedicated student will be furtively glancing at the clock every five seconds.

Because music is so essential to any group fitness class, I decided to ask our very own Plex instructors what their favorite workout songs are.  Take a look (and a listen) to some of the best songs our instructors have to offer.  You never know – you might just see something you recognize from your weekly Zumba, TBC, or Spin class!

Kelsey Damassa is in her senior year at Boston College, majoring in Communications and English. She is a native of Connecticut and frequents New York City like it is her job. On campus, she is the Campus Correspondent for the Boston College branch of Her Campus. She also teaches group fitness classes at the campus gym (both Spinning and Pump It Up!) and is an avid runner.
