It’s a well-known phrase that college is the “best four years of your life.” However, judging by the small percentage of artists who continued onto a secondary education (and the even greater majority that dropped out), this idea may not be definitively explicable in the music world. For example, take Kanye West who was able to stretch out the idea of dropping out of college (as a positive thing, nonetheless) over a span of three albums. As Collegiettes™ though, you can get the best of both worlds with music inspired by school experiences– without sacrificing getting an education. Just don’t try to justify to your parents about not passing Economics by saying Yeezy didn’t have to.
