It’s been a week since lululemon was kind enough to offer us collegiettes™ some tips and advice when it comes to goal setting for the New Year as well as the new semester. Hopefully you’ve had some time to think about where you see yourself in 10 years, 5 years, 1 year, or even at the end of spring semester. Do you want to find a better balance between your schoolwork and social life? Or maybe you’re taking a health-related approach to your goals and are trying to work out at least 5 days a week plus make healthier dining choices. The first step in achieving anything is drafting goals and that is just what Her Campus BC readers and writers have taken the time to do this past week!
“My goals for this semester are to maintain my grades and to do the best that I can. I’m finally taking classes that pertain to my majors, so I’m hoping that I made the right choices!! Also, as far as just a goal that has nothing to do with academics, I’m just hoping to remain in shape and stick to a healthy eating and work out routine.” – Lauren Ruvo, 2014
“One of my goals is to be less dependent on my phone, check it less often, not use it while walking around campus…I got a watch so I don’t have to look at my phone (slash secretly check for texts) to get the time.” – Katie Moran, 2013
“The most cliché goal ever, yet one which everyone seems to forget about, is to have fun. Once we get into the swing of our many activities and back into our schoolwork, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut and forget to have a good time. We will only be in this environment for 4 years and we need to soak in every relationship, conversation, party and laugh that we can. So my new year’s goal is to remember that!” – Maggie Burdge, 2014
“My goal is to get my homework done before the weekend starts and to cut back on drinking.” – Anonymous
“One of my goals for this semester is to go into Boston more. I want to try to go in at least twice a month so that I can get out of the BC Bubble!” – Jessica Shapiro, 2014
“My New Year’s resolution was to follow sports instead of gossip. I told myself that for every 5 minutes I spend reading Perez Hilton, I have to spend 10 minutes on ESPN. Now I don’t even read gossip websites anymore, and I enjoy sports so much more than I did last year!” – Anonymous
“Get Vandy a vending machine because it’s starting to get awkward swiping into Walsh for the sole purpose of using theirs after Lower closes.” – Laura DelloStritto, 2013
There you have it. Her Campus BC readers and writers alike have set goals for themselves, so why not join in on the goal-setting fun? If you have any goals you would like to share, let us know in the comments section. And remember, nothing is ever impossible!
