“All girls have fashion in common.”  Is it just us, or was that the most profound, provocative line uttered during the entire run of MTV’s The Hills?  We may still harbor a seething hatred for Heidi Montag, but she was right about one thing.  Though each girl exhibits her own style in myriad ways, the devotion to fashion itself ties the female species together whether you adhere to seasonal trends or march the to the beat of your own sartorial drum.  Girls with great style are everywhere at BC;  they make for great people watching and serve as daily inspiration for our own style choices.  Similarly, fantastic fashion blogs have taken over the Internet.  There are literally thousands of them to browse at your leisure; here are our top picks.

1. The Man Repeller

                                                                                       The Man Repeller

Leandra Medine, abounding with wit and a knack for piecing together the clashing to create the chic, blogs about fashion that caters to female sensibilities but resists the attention of men.  Her pieces are thought provoking, image heavy, and brilliant.  Based in New York, her blog has a definite Downtown Manhattan edge to it, but with a nod to the femininity that resides within each of us.  She also coined the term “arm party”, AKA a ridiculous amount of bracelet and bangles piled upon each of your wrists.  You’ve gotta love it.   manrepeller.com

2. Atlantic-Pacific

                                                                                    Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific

Atlantic-Pacific is the style child of Blair Eadie, who also happens to be a Pinterest maven.  Chances are you’ve seen pictures of her prancing around in colorful layers and stacked bracelets somewhere on the World Wide Web.  Her outfits are incredibly wearable, girly modernizations of classics- perfect for the BC girl.  We love her appetite for both fresh interpretations of vintage staples and Starbucks lattes.  atlantic-pacific.blogspot.com

3. Kiel James Patrick and Classy Girls Wear Pearls

Sarah Vickers of Classy Girls Wear Pearls

The brains behind the Kiel James Patrick brand, Kiel himself and Sarah Vickers, blog pictures of themselves traipsing around Massachusetts and the rest of New England living the life that we also live…in our dreams.  From Nantucket garden parties, head to toe in Lilly, to autumnal promenades through Boston in J.Crew puffer vests, this duo is the epitome of classic prep.  Donning tartan plaid to fur vests to duck boots, their respective blogs are a haven for preppy kids everywhere.  Kieljamespatrick.tumblr.com and classygirlswearpearls.com

4. The Retail Therapist

Jordanna Oslac of The Retail Therapist

Jordanna Oslac provides us with some serious retail therapy. As a California-born and raised fashion lover, she puts together classic LA meets New York ensembles. As a fashion student at Parsons, she lives and breathes fashion, from the hipster plaid shirts to the cutting-edge New York black. We’re obsessed with the intermittent mixes of animal prints and neon colors to create vibrant, edgy outfits. From Paris to Dubrovnik to Marrakesh, inspiration from countries from all over the world influence this young blogger’s chic style.  thertltherapist.blogspot.com

5. The Coveteur

                                                                                             From “The Coveteur”

Though not, strictly speaking, a fashion blog, The Coveteur takes you inside the closets of some of the most fashionable humans alive.  From supermodels to actors to designers to editors, you get a peek into the lives, apartments, and collections of some of the most elite fashionistas this world has to offer.  As an added perk, a new update on their website allows you to actually shop the pieces you see, pin them directly to Pinterest, or tweet your favorites.  A lot of the pieces are one of the kind, beautiful pieces of art that happen to be in the form of handbags, dresses, and shoes.  thecoveteur.com

6. Glitter Guide

                                                                                         From “The Glitter Guide”

The ladies at the Glitter Guide have cultivated a girly girl’s mecca.  From beauty trends to up and coming designers to entertaining tips and DIY projects, this blog turned brand has a little bit of everything.  If you love pastels, chevron, or ikat, check out (and subsequently lose hours pouring over) each glitzy section of Caitlin Moran and Taylor Sterling’s sparkly website.  theglitterguide.com

7. The Glamourai

                                                                                                  Kelly Framel

Another East Coast darling, Kelly Framel, blogs content that is fashion forward and apt to stimulate creativity in your own wardrobe.  Her outfits are wearable, colorful, and youthful.  Though she is based in NYC, Kelly blogs from all over the country as a consultant on many editorial shoots for magazines, designer campaigns, etc.   If not for daily wear, many of these editorials are beautiful enough just to take in and appreciate for their aesthetic value.  theglamourai.com

8. 770|Behind the Line

We know for a fact we are not the only J.Crew obsessed girls on campus.  To get your daily fix of Jenna Lyons’ vibrant preppy genius, check out their (un)official blog.  You’ll get doses of merchandise, artsy musings, and a look at the retailer’s behind the scenes processes (Style Guide shoots, design inspiration, etc.)  Get ready to swoon at pages upon pages of jewel tones, vintage postcards, and travel tips.  jcrew.tumblr.com

We hope you’ll love getting lost in these little pieces of fashion heaven; we know we do!
