What if you could name your price for any item you wanted? BC alums Zach Garippa (’12) and Michael Stone (’12) created Negotiatus with exactly that in mind. Negotiatus is a website that thrives on the idea that “everything is negotiable.” You enter the link of the product you want, name your price, and the Negotiatus team negotiates the best deal possible. No, I’m not kidding.
How it Works:
Zach tells us how simple it is to use Negotiatus: “We help individuals and businesses save time and money. The buyer finds any product they want on the Internet, copies the link, and pastes it on Negotiatus. The buyer names their price and any other specifications, and lets Negotiatus take it from there.” Negotiatus only collaborates with authorized sellers, creating a personalized deal for you.
So, basically, it allows you to skip the feisty bidders of E-Bay and the questionable quality of Amazon products while still getting your premium product.
Why You Care- Part One:
Negotiatus is the perfect site for college students, with successful deals ranging from jewelry and shoes, to home furnishings for your off campus house, to TV’s and laptops, and to (what could have been) overly priced books.
Because you’re calling the shots, Negotiatus is equivalent to your personal shopper. Negotiatus essentially helps you save on that gift that you’ve been meaning to buy your boyfriend, but you keep spending your money on late-night pizza.
Why You Care-Part Two:
I would only have to pay $178.24 for a $275.00 Michael Kors watch. Yeah, this website is a game-changer.
Negotiatus is all about the buyer. They want to put all the power back into the hands of the buyer. But, how do they make money? Zach tells us: “Negotiatus shares in a small portion of the savings they earn you. We take just 15% of savings, so we’re incentivized to find the most savings as possible.” It’s a win-win for everyone. You can even pay with Venmo.
