My Favorite Things: Online Shopping

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Not to sound like a completely stereotypical girl, but I love to shop. My bank account would probably be a bit happier if I didn’t, but such is life. One of the ways that I can save money is through online shopping. There are always deals, and they come without the hassle of showing up as an “early bird” or “night owl” and without struggling through crowds on Black Friday or Labor Day for the real sales. Here are a few of my favorite sites to shop (or browse) on.

For Designer Deals: Rue La La

Rue La La gives daily deals on mostly name-brand clothing, shoes, accessories, and home goods. The deals have a time limit, and the items can sell out so you have to be up-to-date on the deals to ensure they have your size. It may seem more time consuming to check out the deals each day, but they are definitely worth it with items that are marked down at times by 70% or more.

For a NastyGal substitute: Necessary Clothing

Don’t get me wrong; NastyGal has plenty of great clothes. But if you are on a slightly tighter budget, check out Necessary Clothing. They have simple trendy clothing at a very affordable, Forever21-ish price. Not all of the clothes look like they are high quality, but there is such a range that you can find something perfect if you are willing to look.

For the First Time User: Tobi

If you haven’t heard of Tobi yet, Google it right now. Like, right now. It is definitely my favorite site for online shopping as it is both very cute, fairly unique, and cheap! This is especially true for first time shoppers at the site, who receive 50% off their first order. Also, there is free shipping for all orders now, so even if you are a veteran Tobi shopper there is reason to keep going back.

For the Trendiest of the Trends: Wanelo

Wanelo to me is like a Pinterest of everything that I want to buy. There are joke items, clothes, housewares, shoes, food, technology, literally anything and everything your heart desires. It allows you to save items that you like, and redirects you to the websites they are offered on… which sometimes happen to be the websites listed above. Coincidence much?

With all of this snow and disgusting weather, don’t worry about getting out of the house, just hop on to one of these websites and satisfy your shopping fix.
