A Menu Inspired by the Oscars!

It’s award show season!  Personally, I love this time of the entertainment year.  All the glitz, glamour, and gossip about who’s going to win what always gets me excited.  I love watching it all unfold on TV on a Sunday night.  My roommate and I have gotten into the habit of watching the red carpet pre-show and critiquing all the stars’ fashion choices and then running to Lower to grab cookies and fro-yo to nosh on during the show.  For me, this is a win-win situation.  I get to watch all the celebrities and live vicariously through them as I lie in bed and relax in my sweats.  But I was thinking… for the Oscars, quite possibly my favorite awards show, why not switch up the routine?  If you’re like me and choose comfort over craziness, use the Oscars as an opportunity to throw your own celebrity-worthy bash!  Invite some of your friends over, glam it up, and make some munchies.  To go one step further and win your own award for best hostess, design your menu to be Oscar-inspired.  Below are some creative recipe ideas inspired by this year’s Oscar nominees!  So roll out the red carpet and throw on your party dress to host an Oscar celebration that George Clooney and Meryl Streep would want an invite to!
