Campus Cutie, Zachary “Lou” Wilson”

By: Meghan Gibbons

Meet Senior Zachary ‘Lou’ Wilson. A heart-warming guy with an incredible laugh who is known for his quick-wit in My Mother’s Flea Bag improv-comedy shows and his huge bear hugs. This Communications major and Italian minor from the West Coast is a guy you should get to know!

The Basics

Name: Zachary “Lou” Wilson

Hometown: Altadena, California

School/Year: Arts and Sciences, Senior

Major: Communications Major, Italian Minor

BC Life

Activities/Clubs: My Mother’s Fleabag Improv Comedy, Tchoukball United, BC Splash

Best class: Had some good times in Interpersonal Communication

Worst class: I don’t do math-Calculus I

Bapst or O’Neill: Neither, I “live” in the Social Work Library

Favorite place to eat: My Kitchen. Eagles Nest is a close second.

More about Lou!

Personal Motto: Once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it

Favorite Method of Transportation: Trains are the way to go

Favorite Sport to Play : Tchoukball

Favorite family vacation: We did a three day train trip from Los Angeles to Boston to move me in freshmen year. We didn’t even have a sleeper car, so my parents, my sister and me were sleeping/hanging out in train seats for hours as we rode across the country.  One of those things I’ll never forget.

One thing most excited about for senior year: Livin’ in the Mods

Recent Achievements: Came in second place at the United States Tchoukball national championships in Wood Bridge, Connecticut

Fun fact: I sang the national anthem at Los Angeles Galaxy Soccer game when I was 12.

Favorite movie: Black Hawk Down or Up

Favorite TV show:  The first 3 seasons of Community and Chappelle’s Show

Celeb Crush/Role Model : Idris Elba is the f**king man

Favorite BC sport: Women’s Soccer

Favorite hangout spot on campus:  The Labyrinth

Favorite Halloween costume: Quality has really gone down since my mom stopped making my costumes. Definitely either homemade Ninja from 5th grade or homemade Robin Hood from 3rd grade

Deal breakers: If you don’t have a sense of humor, wear mink, or are a minor, it probably won’t work out

Advice to freshmen:  Just because other’s have their day in the sun before you, doesn’t mean you won’t have one.

Dream job: Any job that paid me to make people laugh at a wage that could also support a family

Ideal girl: Pretty smile, cute laugh, good hair. Done

Ideal date:  Riding Elephants in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, followed by casual conversation over loose leaf tea by a waterfall.
