Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Lauren Baer! Not only is this cutie smart and involved on campus, she is also a baking queen. Maybe I’m biased because she’s my amazingly fabulous roommate, but I think this girl has it all. Keep reading to find out more about Lauren!

The Basics

Name: Lauren Baer

Hometown: Wellesley, MA

School/Year: A&S 2015

Major: Communication

BC Life

Activities/Clubs: 4Boston

Best class: Online Communication and Global Society– learnin’ about the Internet and stuff

Worst class: I mean I’m not digging Astronomy right now

Bapst or O’Neill: O’Neill 5th floor

Favorite place to eat: Eagle’s Nest

Biggest pet peeve: When people don’t say please and thank you—be polite!

One thing most excited about for senior year: Mod tailgates, being 21 (I’m not quite there yet), Senior Week, and other general senior shenanigans

Most embarrassing moment: I accidentally took the Newton bus yesterday. I didn’t even realize until we were turning left onto Comm. Ave. So that was fun.

Fun fact: I have a scar on my leg from making a sack in intramural flag football

Favorite movie: Gotta say The Notebook. It’s a classic.

Favorite TV show: Nashville, Modern Family, New Girl

Dream job: Probably owning my own bakery

Favorite BC sport: I think the men’s basketball team is the classiest on campus—good work, boys.

Favorite hangout spot on campus: The Rat (quality people watching) or Stokes lawn in the spring when it’s sunny!

Celeb crush: Luke Bryan… I just love those country boys

Ideal guy: Someone who loves to laugh with me, and that appreciate life’s little pleasures like I do

Ideal date: A surprise date walking around the city… casual and spontaneous I guess?

Deal breakers: A guy that thinks he’s too cool to let his guard down and be silly

Advice to freshmen: College is too short to have regrets—if you want something, go get it, and have fun in the process.

Kelsey Damassa is in her senior year at Boston College, majoring in Communications and English. She is a native of Connecticut and frequents New York City like it is her job. On campus, she is the Campus Correspondent for the Boston College branch of Her Campus. She also teaches group fitness classes at the campus gym (both Spinning and Pump It Up!) and is an avid runner. She has run five half-marathons as well as the Boston Marathon. In her free time, Kelsey loves to bake (cupcakes anyone?), watch Disney movies, exercise, read any kind of novel with a Starbucks latte in hand, and watch endless episodes of "Friends" or "30 Rock."
