Meet Cutie Bridgette McDermott!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Attention BC: meet my beautiful, supportive, and funny RA! If you haven’t met Bridgette on campus yet, you are bound to run into her at some point.  This girl is extremely involved, whether it’s giving tours around the Heights, or cranking out homework on the 3rd floor of O’Neil. Bridgette is always one to look up and give a smile.  She’s the type of person you want to know, the big sister you never had, and she is sure to brighten your day.  Read below to find out more about the best RA on campus!

Get to Know Her a Little Better!

One thing most excited about for senior year: To start writing my thesis, just kidding…pretty much everything. I can’t wait for the best year of my life at my favorite place in the world!

Fun fact: I’m addicted to Cheez-Its. (Side note: the obsession is so out of hand that my roommate last year actually bought me a Cheez-it pillow for my birthday).

Favorite movie: Good Will Hunting

Dream job: Well, I’m still in the process of figuring this one out, but ideally a job that makes me happy and enables me to make a difference.

Favorite BC Sport: Football, without a doubt.

Favorite hangout spot on campus: The SAP office!

Taken or single: Single

Ideal Date: Chipotle & froyo. That is all.

Advice to freshmen: It sounds cliché to say that there’s something for everyone on this campus, but with 230 clubs and organizations there really is (Did I mention that I’m a tour guide?). But honestly, find something YOU love and go do it. These fours years fly by, believe me. Make sure you leave BC with no regrets!

Shannon is currently in her junior year at BC.  She is majoring in Elementary Education and English, hoping to one day teach in an urban school.  Originally from Hopkinton, MA, one of Shannon's favorite things to do is tell people that her hometown is the start of the Boston Marathon - it's claim to fame!  In her free time, you can find Shannon cuddled up somewhere with her adorable giraffe-spotted mug.
Meghan Gibbons is a double major in Communications and Political Science in her senior year at Boston College. Although originally from New Jersey, she is a huge fan of all Boston sports! Along with her at Boston College is her identical twin, who she always enjoys playing twin pranks with. Meghan is a huge foodie, book worm and beach bum
