The temperature is getting colder, it is getting darker earlier and snow is probably on our horizon in the next month or two. This can only mean one thing: Winter is on its way! Just because winter is on its way, however, does not mean that we can’t get outside and enjoy the outdoors!
L.L. Bean is helping to kick off a winter full of outdoor fun with their 2nd annual Wintervention College Tour, and they are headed here to BC. Don’t worry that you may miss their stop at BC. Their larger than life Bootmobile will be pulling up to BC at the Stokes Lawn Amphitheater on Monday, November 11th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Along with the Bootmobile making a stop at BC on Monday, there will be other great opportunities for students to get involved and win some gear to prep for the winter!
- Win a #Wintervention. Join the conversation and share a winter-inspired outdoor photo on Twitter or Instagram using #Wintervention for a chance to win a grand prize shopping spree – the winner will receive a $500 L.L.Bean gift card and a $250 gift card for four friends to get outfitted for the winter season. On site at Boston College, students can take photos with the Bootmobile or in front of one of L.L.Bean’s traveling wintry photo backdrops.
- Win Great Gear. Boston College students will have a chance to win one of two great prizes – a Wintervention gear prize package and a pair of limited-edition Fenway Bean Boots, made from the rain tarp that protected Fenway Park during the 2012 season.
- Play Games and Win Giveaways. L.L.Bean will offer outdoor-inspired giveaways and coupons to students who participate in or win a game on site. The first 25 students to show up in L.L.Bean apparel will win $10 gift cards.
