This is what dreams are made of – Lizzie McGuire is coming back to our screens! Disney recently announced the reboot of this Disney Channel classic, exciting all those who grew up watching Lizzie awkwardly maneuver her way through middle school. The reboot will center around thirty-year-old Lizzie living out her dream life in New York City, thus we can definitely expect some fashion moments. If you remember the original, you will remember the iconic, sometimes crazy, outfits Lizzie and Miranda wore. Therefore, I can only hope to expect the same from the upcoming show. But before we look forward to the fashion to come, let’s reminisce on the fashion of the original Lizzie McGuire. Here are my top 5 favorites:

In the episode “Best Dressed for Much Less,” Lizzie tries to win the superlative Best Dressed in the school yearbook. While Lizzie did not achieve this goal in the episode, the outfit she wore certainly brings back early 2000s nostalgia, thus landing it on this list.

Belts, bandannas, and chokers are three items often found in Lizzie’s outfits. This look features all three of her trademark items, making it a top five look.

This explosion of neon and patterns is so outrageous, it has to be featured on the list of the most memorable Lizzie McGuire outfits. I mean, how could you forget that much clashing?

The episode where Lizzie sneaks onto the music video set of Aaron Carter’s “I Want Candy” is arguably one of the best episodes of the show’s two season run. Lizzie’s red sweater and silver spandex combo only add to the greatness of the episode.

And lastly, who could forget the classic purple ensemble Lizzie wears as she performs as an Italian pop star? This look, coupled with the matching green outfit worn by Isabella, is arguably the most famous of Lizzie looks, therefore this list would be incomplete without it.
