Touring for their newly released album, People and Things, Jack’s Mannequin is a definite must-see.  Sophomore Maggie Scollan, a veteran attendee of Jack’s Mannequin shows whole-heartedly agrees: “I love Jack’s Mannequin’s music because it has a great beachy, chill vibe, but the lyrics are also incredibly meaningful.  Andrew McMahon is an awesome performer and song writer, and if you haven’t seen them live yet, get tickets!  You won’t be disappointed!”

Other Lives just finished their sophomore album, Tamer Animals, which has a dreamy, folk-like quality similar to artists Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes.  The instrumentation, which intricately combines cellos, violins, clarinets, keys, trumpets, and drums makes for a must-see performance, for “Nearly every member pulls double and triple duty [on their instruments]… and in a live setting, the band constantly shifts and repositions to hit every mark” (pitchfork.com).  Listen to their full album here.
