A Little Less Top 50s, A Little More Emo Rock

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Sometimes, I have those days when blasting Green Day on my speakers is the best feeling ever. I think back to Pete Wentz’s eyeliner-filled glory days and, suddenly, it’s 2008 again. Granted, reality comes back after a few minutes… but it’s always nice when music transports you back in time. Now, even though life isn’t exactly a Fall Out Boy song, here are some of the greatest 2000s emo songs that will make you super nostalgic:

1. All Signs Point to Lauderdale – A Day To Remember

2. Thnks fr th Mmrs – Fall Out Boy

3. The Middle – Jimmy Eat World

4. The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows – Brand New

5. I’m Not Okay (I Promise) – My Chemical Romance

6. Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams – Green Day

7. Vindicated – Dashboard Confessional

8. My Friends Over You – New Found Glory

9. I Miss You – blink-182

10. Dirty Little Secret – The All-American Rejects

11. Dance, Dance – Fall Out Boy

12. Ocean Avenue – Yellowcard

13. American Idiot – Green Day

14. Dear Maria, Count Me In – All Time Low

15. The Permanent Rain – The Dangerous Summer

16. Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down – Fall Out Boy

17. I Don’t Like Who I Was Then – The Wonder Years

18. The Great Escape – Boys Like Girls

Rock on (or don’t) :)

Resist, insist, persist.   Dogless dog lover, aspiring person of importance. Perpetually lost between the worlds of Asia and America. But I like it here. And the food's good, too.   BC '20
