Learn More About BCBC

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

The Brazilian Club of Boston College is one of the many culture clubs BC has to offer but there is so much about it that makes it unique and worthwhile for its members.

Since its foundation a few years ago, the Brazilian Club has been committed to presenting the friendly and lively Brazilian culture to the entire BC community. Through our teachings of Brazilian music, cuisine , and history, our members get to expand their circles while absorbing a lot more information they ever could if they were just reading a textbook on Brazil. Although we are a culture club, you do not have to be Brazilian at all to join! As long as there is interest in the club, you’re in!

Let’s turn over to some of our alumni to see what they have to say about their experience with the club:

“It really translates Brazil’s hospitality and the fun-loving, relaxing spirit that Brazilians inherently have and you can really see that in our events. It’s really welcoming,” said Luiza Justus, Former Vice President and Media Chair of BCBC.

“Carnaval was my favorite BCBC event we hosted last year because it had a little bit of everything: live music, food, activities, and it was so lively and fun. There was a little bit of something for everyone and so many people went. It was really fun to see people who don’t have anything to do with Brazil just enjoying and experiencing a little bit of the culture,” said Christina Leme, Former President.

Stay on the lookout for our next event coming up in late November. For more updates on the club, check out their Facebook page and their Instagram:
