Instagram is definitely my favorite social media platform and I have spent more time than I care to admit stalking various accounts in order to procrastinate doing an assignment. Luckily for this piece, stalking Instagram was my research. It is easy to find yourself lost browsing through a professional’s travel photos or trying to stifle a laugh as you discreetly scroll through a funny account while in Bapst, after all there is nothing worse than being that person in Gargan Hall. Whether you employ Instagram as a means of procrastination or simply to pass time as you wait for class to start these are the accounts that you should be following.

The Humans of New York blog began in the summer of 2010 and soon transformed into an amazing collection of photos and stories showcasing the amazing diversity of the people who live, work and travel to one of the greatest cities in the world.
Bonus: Right now Humans of New York curator Brandon is part of a UN International Tour and his photos on the account are both inspiring and heartbreaking, seriously go take a look you will not regret it.
Casey Coulter @casey_coulter
Casey is an old friend of mine who has an incredible eye for photos and great skill in manipulating them. I have been obsessed with his account since he started but recently he has gained recognition for his photos and now boasts 38k followers. It is definitely the most visually dynamic and interesting account on this list.
Mackenzie Horan @mackenziehoran
Mackenzie is a blogger and entrepreneur living and working in NYC. Her account is full of great photos of cute outfits, NYC scenery and products from her adorable online boutique Design Darling. If you are a preppy BC girl and you will likely find Mackenzie to be a kindred spirit loving all things navy, pink and monogrammed.
