When one thinks of lace, what do you think of?  There are two things that usually come to mind: brides and girls with skimpy clothing (if you know what I mean).  Being at totally different ends of the spectrum, there has to be some sort of middle ground.  With lace being in fashion, then it begs the question: how do you exactly wear lace if you are neither one of those types of girls?

Here are some suggestions of how to wear lace, while still being cute and chic at the same time.

Lace Dress and Lace Sweater

This dress is light and airy and provides a pop of color with the bottom half.  The sweater provides a nice way to keep warm on cool summer nights.  Accented with gold shoes and jewelry, it provides a nice warm touch to the cool colors in the rest of the outfit.  The purse adds more color, complimenting the outfit and providing a fashionable way to carry all things necessary for your summer adventures.

Lace Bolero and Lace Shoes

For a night out, this dress combines touches of lace that do not overpower the outfit.  The plain, dark blue dress allows the accessories to stand out.  Gothic in style, it will allow you to stand out, while maintaining some mystery.  The roses in the jewelry match the flowers in the lace making the outfit complete.

Lace Purse and Lace Earrings

If you just want a touch of lace, this outfit is perfect because it keeps the lace simple and only on the purse and the earrings.   The shirt, capris, and shoes are plain, allowing your accent pieces to stand out without being overpowering.  The outfit is also in neutral tones, letting you to show off your glorious summer tan and to keep cool, too!

Lace Skirt

Perfect for meeting friends, this skirt embodies the colors of the summer.  Throw a jean jacket over this ensemble, and it is a perfect transition into the evening.  You can go for miles in these shoes (Birkenstocks!), and you can look adorable every step of the way.
