Buried in a mountain of books and strapped to a caffeine IV, most of us here at BC are only thinking of one thing: finals. But once we return home, Christmas season will be in full swing. Don’t add any unneeded stress to your holiday season. Let these holiday looks serve as your “study guide” for acing any holiday party or gathering.

1.    Casual Cocoa Date

Invited to a casual cookie party? Catching up with old high school friends? Try incorporating the colors of the season into your wardrobe. Put on some jeans and a Christmas sweater. Or, model a red and green top with ankle booties. Don’t forget to add a fun beanie to your soft curls for a not-too-casual getup.

2.    Girls Just Wanna Have Fur

Adding a fur jacket or fur coat to your casual dress or simple T-shirt will immediately elevate your look. And, you don’t have to break the bank. Stores like H&M and Forever21 carry a plethora of affordable furs in various colors.

3.    Sweater Weather

Tired of wearing jeans and leggings? Try a sweater dress in a neutral tone this winter. You can pair your dress with tights or tall boots.  Add an oversized scarf for warmth. This look can work for either a casual get-together or a Christmas party. Plus, a sweater dress can easily transition into your spring wardrobe by trading your boots for sandals or wedges!

4.    Rockin’ Around the Skirt

A statement skirt can easily make your outfit the center of attention this holiday season. Try a 90’s inspired look by wearing a green or red velvet skirt paired with a turtleneck or tight black tee.

Or, try pairing a sparkly skirt with a neutral-toned sweater. A comfy top will make your skirt appear less dressy. Try this glam combination at your next dinner event with friends or family.

5.    Jump for Joy

If dresses aren’t your thing, have no fear. A simple and sleek black jumpsuit is the perfect holiday alternative. Jumpsuits can be dressed up with heels and a dainty necklace. Or, jumpsuits can be dressed down with the addition of a jean jacket or a cross shoulder bag.

So kiss final exams goodbye and give one of these holiday outfits a try. And, you may even find yourself under the mistletoe, dressed head to toe!
